Newschannel5's Lee Jordan has been a fixture on Cleveland television since 1987. During that time, she's become one of Cleveland's most popular personalities. In her 26 years in television broadcasting, Lee has held the anchor chair on programs ranging from sports to entertainment to town hall news specials. Her reporting has taken her to Europe, the Middle East and Central America.

After beginning her television career at WCMH in Columbus as the host of PM Magazine in 1981, she came to Cleveland and WEWS in 1987 as a co-host of The Morning Exchange. During her six years on the legendary program, Lee interviewed hundreds of luminaries from the worlds of politics, entertainment and publishing. In 1993, Lee became an anchor on Live On Five, Newschannel5's top-rated news and information program. Seven years later, she added anchor duties on the 11 p.m. newscast and in 2004 joined the 6 p.m. newscast.

Lee is again anchoring Live and Five and recently joined the NewsChannel5 at Noon team. Lee's accomplishments have earned her numerous awards and recognition. She has won six local Emmy awards for anchoring and reporting. In 2005, the 6 p.m. newscast won two prestigious accolades for best regional newscast - one from the Associated Press, the other an Edward R. Murrow award.

An active participant in community organizations, Lee has shown a commitment to fundraising. She has worked with Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, the Women's Community Foundation, the Cleveland Alzheimer's Association, the Visiting Nurses Association and OutRun Ovarian Cancer (OROC). Lee has also served on the boards of the Cleveland Eyebank and the Alzheimer's Association.

Lee said she feels enormous gratitude for the years she has been able to report the news in Cleveland and serve the community. "It's a privilege and a responsibility to have this position in Northeast Ohio. All of the experiences I've had here in two decades have given me a richly rewarding life."

Lee has a teenage son, Tyler.

Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Bowling Green State University, where she won a Frazier Reams Fellowship in Journalism.
